2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve.
California State Fair Wine Competition
2010 Silver Medal - 90pts!
This vintage expressed itself early both in the vinyard and during fermentation. Some are calling 07' the vintage of the decade based on both fruit quality and consistency but also for a long fruit "hang-time". We were able to capture the concentrated flavors of juicy black and purple fruit along with lush tannins. The 07 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon represents our most promising barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot and offers intense aromas of blackberry and boysenberry along with annise and perfume. A juicy entry is followed by a velvety midpalate rich with layers of ripe purple fruit and cassis. Well-integrated and melting tannins lead to a long and juicy finish. This wine will cellar for 10 years or more!

2006 Quercus Reserve Rubra Cabernet Sauvignon.
California State Fair Wine Competition 2009
Gold Medal - Best In Class!, Gold Medal - 95 points!!
Our Reserve is made from the most expressive barrels and was aged over 20 months in new French, American, and Hungarian oak. Quercus Reserve Rubra is a blend of four classic Bordeaux grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Each one blended to add a component of intrigue, complexity, and a multi-dimentional character. Swirling the wine in a glass unleashes notes of dark berry fruit, plum, chocolate and spice that underlie its rich texture. Layers upon layer of flavor will unfold to satiate the pallet and linger for a minute's long finish. This wine will cellar for 7-10 years.

2006 Quercus Rubra Merlot
Napa Valley
Up front this wine portrays an intense nose of graphite, asphalt, and an earthiness characteristic of ripe Napa Valley Oak Knoll district fruit. Aged 21 months in Hungarian and American oak, the first thoughts are of powerful cherry, and jammy fruits intermingled by dark chocolate and sweet oak flavors reminiscent of earlier Quercus Rubra vintages. This wine will pair wonderfully with hearty meats but also has a smooth and supple character in the mouth that makes it a wine that stands wonderfully on its own.

2007 Pinot Noir Napa Valley
Carneros Appellation
Bright and juicy with lively acidity and a distinctive minerality framing the floral aromas. Luscious fruit flavors of cherries, cola and spice precede a soft mouth feel. Aged 12 months in new French, Hungarian and American oak, accentuates a pleasant touch of characteristic Carneros earthiness and gives this wine a lengthy finish. This wine will drink well now but best 2010 and after. Additional Notes: Harvested in mid October at optimum ripeness we used whole berry fermentation to coax out all those fruit flavors. Extra time exposed to the skins lead to that amazing structure.
